Focus on your Locus of Influence: Tackling issues related to race, identity and education can feel overwhelming. Instead of focusing on the greater issues, narrow your focus to the things you can influence. As an individual and/or as teams reflect on ways you can directly support more equitable solutions for students. For example, try auditing spaces within your organization or school for diverse representation, learning materials, visuals, curricular resources.
Move out of your Comfort Zone: Seek out opportunities to have critical conversations with those who identity as a different, race, culture or have opposing ideas.
